It is all about fun and friendship. The idea quickly spread and now there are chapters all over the world. Look on the web under Red Hat Society and you will understand. There are over 41,000 chapters with groups in Canada, Japan, Mexico, etc. Seems all ladies just want to have fun.
To be a “RED HATTER” you must be over 50 years of age. “Over fifty and fabulous” that is what we say about ourselves. But that does not mean you cannot join the RED HATS if you are under fifty. You may join the PINK HATTERS; they are our Ladies in. They dress in Lavender or lilac and wear pink hats. We welcome all ladies to do what we do: LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH. That is the motto of the RED HATS.
We are the ladies with HATTITUDE!!! It is so much fun for us to put on our purple outfits and Red Hats and go to lunch, the movies, picnic on the beach or just wherever our hearts decide to go and watch the people watch us. If you went out and saw a group of men, the thought would not enter your mind that the Rotary Club had a meeting. But see a group of ladies in purple and Red Hats and you point, laugh and say ”Look the Red Hatters are out today”.
If you are thinking about becoming a member, don’t hesitate! We welcome new members with open arms. However, there are some things you need to know before becoming a member and it is call the “Do’s and Don’ts":
THE RED HAT SOCIETY DO’S
Do join a chapter if you are looking for a new and exciting way to enjoy life.
Do buy a stunning RED HAT and a purple outfit once you are ready to become a RED HATTER.
Do join in the fun if you are under the age of fifty as a PINK HATTER in a lavender or lilac dress.
Do know that joining means making lasting friendships that you will treasure for a lifetime.
Do remember each chapter is free to plan any type of activity that they so desire
THE RED HAT SOCIETY DON’TS
Don’t join a chapter if you don’t want to meet new and interesting people.
Don’t become a member if you don’t plan on having fun and trying out new and exciting adventures.
Don’t join if you don’t want to wear the most gorgeous RED HATS and purple outfits you can possible find.
Don’t join if you are looking for structure and rules, the rule is to not have any rules, just have fun.
Don’t miss out on an opportunity to become part of the best group in the world where friendly, caring women come together for fun and friendship.

Het draait allemaal om plezier en vriendschap. Het idee verspreidde zich snel en nu zijn er hoofdstukken over de hele wereld. Kijk op internet onder Red Hat Society en je zult het begrijpen. Er zijn meer dan 41.000 hoofdstukken met groepen in Canada, Japan, Mexico, enz. Het lijkt erop dat alle dames gewoon plezier willen hebben.
Om een "RED HATTER" te zijn, moet je ouder zijn dan 50 jaar. “Meer dan vijftig en fantastisch”, dat is wat we over onszelf zeggen. Maar dat betekent niet dat je niet mee kunt doen aan de RED HATS als je onder de vijftig bent. Je mag lid worden van de PINK HATTERS; ze zijn onze Ladies in. Ze zijn gekleed in lavendel of lila en dragen roze hoeden. We verwelkomen alle dames om te doen wat we doen: LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH. Dat is het motto van de RED HATS.
Wij zijn de dames met HATTITUDE!!! Het is zo leuk voor ons om onze paarse outfits en rode hoeden aan te trekken en te gaan lunchen, naar de film te gaan, te picknicken op het strand of gewoon waar ons hart ook heen wil gaan en kijken hoe de mensen naar ons kijken. Als je naar buiten ging en een groep mannen zag, zou de gedachte niet bij je opkomen dat de Rotary Club een vergadering had. Maar zie een groep dames in paarse en rode hoeden en je wijst, lacht en zegt: "Kijk, de Red Hatters zijn vandaag uit".
Als je erover nadenkt om lid te worden, twijfel dan niet! We verwelkomen nieuwe leden met open armen. Er zijn echter enkele dingen die u moet weten voordat u lid wordt en dit zijn de "Do's and Don'ts":
DE RED HAT SAMENLEVING DO'S
Sluit je aan bij een hoofdstuk als je op zoek bent naar een nieuwe en opwindende manier om van het leven te genieten.
Koop een prachtige RED HAT en een paarse outfit als je klaar bent om een RED HATTER te worden.
Doe mee als je jonger bent dan vijftig als PINK HATTER in een lavendelkleurige of lila jurk.
Weet dat meedoen betekent dat je blijvende vriendschappen sluit die je een leven lang zult koesteren.
Onthoud dat elk hoofdstuk vrij is om elk type activiteit te plannen dat ze willen
DE RED HAT SAMENLEVING DOET NIET
Sluit je niet aan bij een chapter als je geen nieuwe en interessante mensen wilt ontmoeten.
Word geen lid als je niet van plan bent om plezier te hebben en nieuwe en spannende avonturen uit te proberen.
Doe niet mee als je niet de mooiste RED HOTS en paarse outfits wilt dragen die je kunt vinden.
Doe niet mee als je op zoek bent naar structuur en regels, de regel is om geen regels te hebben, gewoon plezier te hebben.
Mis de kans niet om deel uit te maken van de beste groep ter wereld waar vriendelijke, zorgzame vrouwen samenkomen voor plezier en vriendschap.
